Customer Returns - The Origin of Renewed Products

Customer Returns are an unavoidable aspect of eCommerce. While some returns are on account of defective items, several are also due to incorrectly placed orders, equipment incompatibility and other reasons that are independent of product performance and/or quality.

So what happens to such Returns?

All customer returns go through a 6-point inspection post return. Items that are defective / have fault are moved to a separate bin. Items that have no obvious defect are sent to the QC (Quality Control) team for testing and gradation.

So what does the QC team do and what exactly are renewed Grades?

The QC team first perform a 100% pass test of all functionality of the product. Post functionality tests, they visually inspect the product for grade assignment. Typically, items that have bene opened but returned unused with no to minimal cosmetic defects are marked as Grade A. Items with some signs of usage / cosmetic scratches are marked as Grade B.

Are there any other Grades?

In rare cases, we have seen returns with heavy signs of usage/ food smears/ dents and heavy scratches also being returned after clear misuse/ Such items are marked Grade C or D.

So are Renewed products really unopened ?

Ninjadog ® certified Renewed are products for which the external packaging has been opened. However the actual unit has not undergone any kind of repair or tampering. These items undergo a full QC test and are repackaged with a Renewed product Label along with a cosmetic grading scale

What can I expect with a Renewed Product?

With a Grade A renewed item, you can typically expect a mint condition item that has undergone minimal usage (excluding testing) . With a Grade B renewed item, you can expect zero compromises on functionality . In both scenarios, some product literature/ stickers etc may be missing.

Why should I order a Renwed Product?

Renewed products are a great way to save money, especially if you are on a budget. In addition, since each renewed item has been fully QC inspected on all parameters, you are certain to receive an item with no manufacturing defects. Availability of such items is usually limited

Ninjadog® Renewed

Unused to Minimally used customer returns that have not undergone any physical repairs. All Items are 100% QC tested and guaranteed to be fully functional. All renewed items are clearly marked/ labelled as renewed with a corresponding grade class.

Refurbished

The term refurbished is used interchangeably in the industry for used, repaired and returned items. We do not classify any of our inventory as Refurbished.

Ninjadog® Repaired

Items that have had to be opened physically to carry out repairs on the circuits and components are marked as repaired. All repaired items are clearly labelled and marked as repaired.
