Traditional wired gaming controller with no compromises!
Many modern operating systems (e.g. Windows) have eschewed support for wired controllers in favour of wireless ones. As much as we enjoy the freedom offered by wireless controllers, there are times we prefer the simplicity of wired over wireless.
Most wired controllers today support only the traditional API by wired controller known as dInput or DirectInput. XInput is newer, so it's easier to use and is generally found in a wider range of modern gamepads. In comparison, DirectInput is a much older API, so old that it's considered a legacy API by Microsoft.
Thus many new/modern games simply do not work with wired dInput controllers at all. For the Ninjalite series, we sat down to solve this problem by leveraging open source APIs to build a solution that offers the best of both worlds. The no-compromise, zero latency benefits of wired controllers working in tandem with support for modern games
